attributed to Salomon Mesdach: Portrait of Catharina Fourmenois (1619)
(Rijskmuseum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
Another fine Dutch portrait from the 17th century. Catharina Fourmenois was the wife of Pieter Boudaen Courten who was a managing director of the chamber of the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.) in Middelburg. The painting also gives a good example of 17th centuy female clothing. Painting from 1619.
