Alexander Roslin: Portrait of King Gustav III of Sweden and his Brothers (1771)
(Nationalmuseum, Stockholm, Sweden)
A nice 18th
century portrait. The persons on the painting are (from left to right): King
Gustav III of Sweden, Prince Frederick Adolf and Prince Charles (future king
Charles XIII of Sweden). Roslin was a Swedish painter who specialized in
portraits, mainly for members of aristocratic families. Especially his fabrics
and jewels were very skillful. This portrait was done in 1771.
