Charles le Brun: Portrait of Everhard Jabach and His Family (1660)

Charles le Brun was an important French painter from the 17th century. This paintings shows the family of Everhard Jabach. Jabach was a banker, patron, and collector of German origin from Cologne who eventually became a French citizen. Jaback is dressed in black and sits next to his wife Anna Maria de Groote. The children of the couple are also present. From left to right: Everhard the Younger (1656–1721), Hélène (1654–1701), Heinrich (1658–1703), and Anna Maria (1649–1706). Charles le Brun is also present on the painting, he can be seen in the mirror. Painting from around 1660.
