Gustave Caillebotte: Paris Street; Rainy Day (1877)

A well-known Impressionistic painting by the French painter Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894). Depicted is the Place de Dublin in Paris with the rue de Moscou on the left, the rue Clapeyron in the center and the rue de Turin on the right. The painting shows the new street plan of Paris which was created by Georges-Eugène Haussmann, including the famous Haussmann buildings (the identical apartment buildings on the painting).
