A print from a set which shows soldiers from the Dutch army during the Dutch war of independence (1568-1648). This print shows a soldier with a sword and shield - in Dutch these soldiers were called 'rondassier' or 'Buckler Men'. The primary task of these soldiers was guarding the commander of a unit. Print from 1587-1595.
