Osman Hamdi Bey (1842-1910) was a Ottoman administrator, archaeologist and a painter who also founded the Istanbul Archaeology Museums and the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. This politcal painting (the painting refers to the slow reformations in the Ottoman Empire) is his best known work. Painting from Early 20th century.
