The card game here is a symbol for the 'game of love'. the woman has drawn an ace and is therefore allowed to choose her lover, in the left background is is leaving with her new lover followed by a dog (symbol of marital fidelity). The man of the far right is a jester - he has pity with the man who has lost the game. Print from 1485.
