This week self-portraits by Rembrandt (1606-1669). With over 80 self-portraits, these form an important part of the work of Rembrandt. This painting is his earlist self-portrait and shows him at the age of 22. Rembrandt was still living in Leiden at this time and was staring his own carreer as an artist, he accepted his first students a year earlier. Painting from 1628.
