A famous painting from the Dutch artist George Hendrik Breitner (1857-1923). The girl on this paiting is Geesje Kwak (1877-1899) who was a seamstress or was selling hats. She became a regular model for Breitner who used her frequently in his work. The set of Geesje in a kimono (which consists of several paintings, drawings and photo's) is his most best known work. Painting from 1893.
