Anonymous: Portrait of François Leydecker and Anna Maria van Hogendorp (1690)

A set of two paintings by an unknown Dutch artist. Left is depicted François Leydecker (1650-1718), representative of the province of Zeeland in the court of audit of the Dutch government (Dutch = 'Generaliteitsrekenkamer'). His second wife Anna Maria van Hogendorp (1655-1727) is on the right side. The couple married in 1685 and got at least 1 child. François is dressed in a so-called Japanese skirt' (Dutch: 'Japonsche rock'), which was inspired after the Japanese kimono's. Painting from 1690.
