Master of the Amsterdam cabinet: Battle between two wild men (1475-1480)

An engraving made by an unknown German artist from the 15th century, today known as the 'Master of the Amsterdam cabinet' or 'Master of the Housebook'. Two horsemen are attacking each other with trees ripped from the ground. The armour of the men and the horses consists of ornamental leaves. The helmets of the men are respectively a bunch of garlic and a bunch of radishes. Engraving from 1475-1480.
