Ferdinand Bol: Portrait of Roelof Meulenaer & Maria Mey (1650)

Two paintings by the Dutch artist Ferdinand Bol (1616 – 1680). Roelof Meulenaer (1618/19-91) was the postmaster on Antwerp in Amsterdam. Roelof married Maria Rey (1630/31-1703) in 1649 so this set was probably commissioned to celebrate this event. Paintings from 1650.
