Adriaen Coorte: Still life with asparagus (1697)

A painting by the Dutch artist Adriaen Coorte (1665 – after 1707). Adriaen Coorte specialized in still lives, usually of fruits, vegetables, or shells on a stone slab with the dark background. This painting with asparagus is one of his best known works. Painting from 1697.
