A painting by the Dutch artist Andries van Bochoven (1609-1634). This group portrait is a self-portrait of the artist and his parents and brothers and sisters. Shows from left to right:
- sitting on the left: Rutger Hermansz. van Bochoven (1581 - 1644), grocer & father of the artist
- standing on the left: Herman van Bochoven (1604-1630)
- standing on the right with the brushes: Andries van Bochoven (1609-1634), the artist. He died the plague epidemic of 1634-1638 in Utrecht. This epidemic claimed 15% of the population of the city of Utrecht
- sitting at the table left: Hillegonda van Bochoven (1606-1640)
- sitting in the middle of the table: Josina van Bochoven (1607-1635)
- sitting at the table right: Petra van Bochoven (1614-1694), married two times and had at least 10 children
- sitting on the right: Johanna Jansdr. van Eede (1591-1630), second wife of Rutger Hermansz. van Bochoven
- standing in the foreground, in the middle: Mechtild van Bochoven (1622-1646)
- standing in the foreground, the third from the right: Bernard van Bochoven (1619-1648)
- the baby with her mother: Elisabeth van Bochoven (1628-1636)
- standing on the right: Johannes van Bochoven (1626-1688), silversmith
This painting was a private piece and was kept in the family until the death of Rutger Hermansz. van Bochoven. Painting from 1629.
