(Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Birmingham, UK)

A painting by the English artist William Holman Hunt (1827 – 1910). This painting shows a scene from the New Testament as to in the Gospel of Luke. This story is better known as "the Finding in the Temple" or "Christ among the Doctors". According to the story, Mary and Joseph visited Jerusalem with a large group. During the visit, Jesus wandered off and after three days he was found in the temple in discussion with the elders. The elders were amazed at his learning, especially given his young age. Painting from 1854-1855.
