Jan Brueghel the Elder and Peter Paul Rubens: The Garden of Eden with the Fall of Man (1615)

A nice painting by the 2 famous Flemish artists Jan Brueghel the Elder (1568-1625) and Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). both artist collaborated on this painting. Brueghel was responsible for the composition, the plants and animals. Rubens painted Adam and Eve, the horse, the serpent and also started the painting in thin paint. This painting was intended to be a showpiece which combined the best of the two painters. Painting from 1615.
