Paolo Veronese: Adoration of the Magi (1573)

Number 3 this week, this time a painting from the 16th century from the Italian Master Paolo Veronese (1528-1588). the same subject as the previous 2 paitning but now in a more grand scale. the holy family are now located in the ruins of a great classical building with a triumphal arch in the background. Angels appear in the sky a a beam of divine light is shining upon the virgin Mary and the child Jesus. The three kings (or Magi) have come  with attendants. Painting from 1573.
