Self-portrait number 2 of Rembrandt. This is a etching of Rembrandt with his wife Saskia van Uylenburgh (1612-1642). Saskia was the niece of Hendrick van Uylenburgh, an art dealer who helped launch the career of Rembrandt in Amsterdam. The couple got 4 children but only 1, Titus (1641-1668), survived into adulthood. Rembrandt is about 30 years old on this work. Engraving from 1636.
