An engraving by the Dutch artist Lucas van Leyden (1494-1533). A dentist is looking into the mouth of a man who in turn is being robed by a woman. angravings like these warned people of the dangers of a quack: the patient is being 'robbed' twice - of his health and his money. Engraving from 1523.
