Hans Maler zu Schwaz: Portrait of Anne of Hungary and Bohemia (1519)

A painting by the German artist Hans Maler zu Schwaz (1480/1488–1526/1529) . The lady on this piece is Anna of Bohemia and Hungary (1503–1547), daughter of king Vladislaus II of Bohemia and Hungary and his wife Anne de Foix and the wife of holy Roman emperor Ferdinand I (1503-1564) Anne was was betrothed to the Archduke Ferdinand in 1520 in Innsbruck and the marriage took place the following year in Linz. The couple had fifteen children, all but two of whom reached adulthood. She died in 1547 shortly after giving birth to her fifteenth child. Painting from 1519.
