An illuminated page made by an unknown Dominican friar. this page come from a book now known as "The Holkham Bible Picture Book". Mostly written in Anglo-Norman French, the book contains a selection of the Old and New Testament. This battle scene comes from the book of Revelation. At the top are mounted knights fighting each other Below, the commoners fight each other on foot. Their armour is lighter, including helmets without visors. Page from 1327-1335.
